Overview
In the notes in Physical Pharmaceutics 1, we have provided two kinds of notes, namely Handwritten notes, and Standard notes.
Physical Pharmaceutics 1 notes deal with the diverse physical and physicochemical properties and the underlying principles of dosage forms and formulations. The theory and the practical aspects of the course help students gain a greater understanding of the various aspects of formulation development research and stability and stability studies of pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Interfacial and surface phenomenon – Liquid interface, surface, and interfacial tensions, surface free energy measurement of surface and interfacial tensions. Spreading coefficient, adsorption at interfaces between liquids Surface-active substances, the HLB Scale detergency, solubilization, Adsorption at the solid interfaces.
UNIT-4
Complexation and binding to proteins – Introduction and classification of Complexation, Applications, methods for study, analysis of protein binding complexation and drug action crystal structures of complexes, and the thermodynamic treatment of stability constants.
UNIT-5
pH, buffers, as well as Isotonic solutions – Sorensen’s pH scale measurement of pH (electrometric as well as calorimetric) applications of buffers. equations, buffer capacity buffers in pharmaceutical and biological processes and buffered Isotonic solutions.
